Black Hill Public School
Self-reliant and responsible
students ready for the future
Welcome to Black Hill Public School.
Black Hill Public School is a small school serving a
rural area bounded by Newcastle, Maitland and Kurri Kurri.
The school promotes quality
teaching and learning, to achieve the statement of purpose: “Through
developing self-motivation and self-discipline, we aim to help each
student to realise their potential and be prepared for the challenges of
the future”.
To this end, the school provides a
quality curriculum in a safe and happy environment and enjoys strong
community support.
We also provide a safe and nurturing learning
environment that develops respect, understanding and
responsibility.
Our school is responsive and flexible in meeting
the needs of all our students and the local community
with a broad range of subjects as well as excellent
educational and social programs.
Education begins in the home and only through the
interaction of parents and teachers can we expect to reach our mutual
goals. We have a happy and caring school, and we encourage parents
to support us and to become active partners in the learning process.
Your
support and interest is essential if we are to do the best for our
children.
School Pledge
In our hands, lies the future of this great
land.
If we all work together, doing our best for the
common good,
there is no limit to what we can achieve.
