BLACK HILL PUBLIC SCHOOL

History

In 2006 the school celebrated 125 years of educational achievement at Black Hill Public School. For this event a history book was compiled.

Uniform

A table is provided covering all uniform choices.

Note:  Sports T-shirts with embroidered school emblem, pale blue polo shirts with embroidered school emblem and girls royal blue skorts are available exclusively on order from the P&C.

Orders are placed several times throughout the year.  A notification will be received in the Newsletter.

The girl’s summer checked dress is the same as East Maitland Public School     and is readily available from “Lowe’s” at  Stockland Greenhills.

The school also has an extensive clothing pool and items are available for a
donation to the P & C.

Hats

All students wishing to go outside to play must wear a sun safe hat in all seasons.  It must be either a full brim hat or legionnaire type with a flap to protect the neck and ears.  The school has a “NO SUN SAFE HAT, NO PLAY” policy.

Change of Uniforms

Generally the winter uniform should be worn in terms two and three.  This will vary according to the weather.  Summer uniforms in terms one and four.

Voluntary Contributions

An annual voluntary fee is set for the purchase of books and materials in the school.  At the beginning of each year a text book fee is required.  Once purchased, the text books become the child’s own property.   Parents will receive a statement at the beginning of each year outlining costs and voluntary fees.   Book bags for use as reading folders and/or library bags may also be purchased at a cost of $8.00.
